Introduction to API Specification 2C - 6th vs 7th Edition
July 2010-As part of the API Spec 2C committee charged with drafting the newest edition of these standards, Seatrax offers a look into the upcoming changes and improvements offered by API Spec 2C 7th Edition. Scheduled for release in early 2011, this edition will incorporate additional offshore crane types not previously covered and address issues, such as supply boat entanglement. This edition will be based on more realistic criteria, providing more definitive guidance and is designed as a superior international standard for marine cranes.

Seatrax Rental Crane Wows Attendees of Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Expo 2009 October 29, 2009--After the rain cleared and the clouds parted, it was clear that one vendor stole the show at the 2009 Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition: Seatrax, Inc.
Leading offshore marine crane manufacturer Seatrax wowed LAGCOE attendees erecting its newest rental crane model in the outdoor area of one of the largest expositions in the oil and gas industry.
With the Cajundome as its backdrop, the Seatrax rental crane Model S140P towered over nearby exhibits, drawing a crowd of numerous curious eyes wanting to catch a glimpse of the massive structure.
"Our crane was easily visible from miles away," Seatrax Service Manager Fred Klein said. "We wanted to capture people's attention with this exhibit, and we definitely achieved that goal." ...more.
Environmentally-conscious offshore cranes: Seatrax, Inc. equipment used to install turbines for Gunfleet Sands wind farm
April 8, 2009-Seatrax, Inc., in its contribution to improving the environment, is using its offshore cranes to install several wind turbines off the coast of England.
Mounted on the vessel KS Titan-2, owned by KS Energy Services, Seatrax's two 10520 leg cranes are being used to install several wind turbines at the wind farm Gunfleet Sands, scheduled for completion in 2010. Gunfleet Sands, located near the mouth of the Thames River, was developed by Dong Energy and Siemens Wind Power. With 48 Siemens wind turbines and a capacity of 172 megawatts, Gunfleet Sands is expected to generate clean renewable energy to service roughly 120,000 homes. ...more.

No. 1 rule of crane management: Use Seatrax's CCM7000
2009-Seatrax, Inc., with a global reputation of excellence and innovation, has developed a crane management system to diagnose and solve typical operation, maintenance and repair issues many offshore facility managers face on a frequent basis.
Using a touch screen interface, the Seatrax CCM7000 is an operator's single source to access necessary crane operating information (including load charts, pressure readings and wind speed and direction indicators) combined with a load moment indicator that calculates the allowable capacity of the crane at any given position. The CCM7000 also provides warning and alerts, both audible and visual, for example, if a load drifts downward if it is not signaled to do so.
